Catelyn walks over to the bed kneeling down to scratch Moxy behind the ears laughing happily at her puppy kisses, "Well with such a sweet cute room mate how could I ever say no!" Kisses the top of Moxy's head and sits with her on the bed rubbing her belly, looking back over at Daniel. "So, I suppose the next questions should be when the room is available and what your rules are as a room mate?" She continues to smile think, for a day that started out avoiding getting things done this has been terrifically productive and it seems I have a great room mate. [/center] |

It was true. Moxy could be a convincing little thing. Daniel had fallen in love with her when he saw her as a puppy. She'd only been a couple weeks old and he hadn't gotten to bring her home until she 6 weeks. Ever since it had been the two of them. She was going to be a big dog one day. For now she was a small little thing who always got her way. Even when she was older, Daniel would still spoil her rotten like the child he didn't have yet.
Catelyn asked when the room would be available and what the rules around here were. "Well the room is available any time you want to move in. And as for rules, there are none. Just so long as you keep it cleaned up and you help around the house, this is a rule free zone." Daniel grinned and crossed his arms, leaning against the door frame. This was going to be the start of something really good, he could already tell. Nothing was impossible and this just proved it.

Catelyn smiles at Daniel, still scratching Moxy thinking about taking her for walks and playing at the park. "Well, if the room is ready then I would like to go over to the hotel and get my stuff out of the room. I would rather par my rent then keeping having to pay for a hotel with a less comfortable bed" She bounces a little on the mattress enjoying the softness.

Daniel smiled. "Alright, fair enough. You gonna need any help with that?" he asked. It wasn't like he was doing anything right now that he couldn't help her. And he was happy to have someone else in the house. Moxy wasn't a very good guard dog yet since she was still a puppy. Catelyn would be a big help watching the house while he was on duty and such. His brother and sister had their own houses which was why the room went unoccupied. It was nice to see it get filled by someone without even really trying to fill it.

Thinks about the mess in her room and looks at the tidiness of the room around her. Catelyn looks at Daniel trying to cover her hesitation, "Maybe once I get here, but I hadn't been there long so it should only take me about 20 minutes to check out and be back. Maybe I could pick up some lunch or something for us on the way back so we might get to know each other better?" She walks over to tuck her folding easel and other supplies into the closet figuring they were best left there anyway. Turning back to Daniel again she says, "Regretfully my check book is also in my hotel room so whe I get back I can give you what you need for a deposit and rent."She stands awkwardly fidgetting with her hands unsure what to do with them. Thinking it was a good thing she had already switched her Euros back to American currency, otherwise it might have been truly awkward to be having this discussion. |

It seemed like a good plan. "Alright, good deal. And lunch would be good. I'm not a picky eater so anything is fine." He really wanted to get to know her better. Especially since she was going to be his house mate. Moxy seemed to like her already so as long as the puppy was happy, he was going to be happy. Daniel pushed himself off of the door frame and saw Moxy run off of the bed and out the door, probably headed downstairs.
Then Catelyn said something about paying him for rent and such. "Don't even worry about money right now. I'm not a hard ass when it comes to that stuff." She didn't have to pay him right this second, or even today, if she didn't want to. Daniel would have her pay something eventually but for now she didn't owe him anything. Not one dime. Money wasn't an issue for him anyways so it wasn't a big deal.

Catelyn shrugged slightly at his disclaimer, stating quietly,"We can figure something out, I just dont like free loading it bothers me." She waits for Daniel to start downstairs and follows him out onto the porch. "I shouldn't be too long at all, when you see a strange car out front it will be me." She begins the walk back to her car, enjoying the slight breeze that picks up as she walks along.
Catelyn takes the time alone to contemplate her good fortune and her new house mates. Moxy was just cute as could be and would make a wonderful companion. Daniel, that was what she couldn't place her finger on. He was extremely kind to allow her to move in, especially since he didnt know her.
Arriving at her car she pauses for a moment, smiling looking over at the basketball court were everything started, suddenly fonder of the game.
She gets into her car driving back to the hotel, gathering her things and taking several trips to get all of her bags placed into her car dismayed at the over flow of luggage in her trunk and back seats."How is it that I have so much stuff after traveling so much?"
Going back into the lobby and checking out, Catelyn decides that subs would make a fine compliment to the bright day. As she heads back to her new home, odd that I already have a place to call home she stops at the deli to select a couple of sanwhichs hoping that Daniel wouldn't mind her choice.
Catelyn pulls up in front of the house, not making too many wrong turns on the way there. Grabbing the sanwhichs first she heads up to the door, feeling awkward walking into the house without knocking and calls out for Daniel, "Hello? I'm back! And I come bearing gifts!" She walks to the kitchen to place the subs on the counter, smiling as Moxy comes trotting out and jumps at the backs of her legs as she walks. After placing the bags on the counter she bends down to ruffle Moxy's fur "Well, I could get used to such a warm welcome home. Would you like to play later? Would you? Oh, such a good girl!'She laughs happily at Moxy's enthusiatic barks. |

Daniel nodded. "Yeah, we'll get it figured out." He started downstairs and stopped at the door. "Alright. I'll be waiting." He watched Catelyn go and then went into the kitchen to get some water. Moxy ran in and jumped up on the counter looking at him. "What? Do you want a treat?" He grabbed a doggie treat out of a box on the counter and gave it to her. Then he headed back upstairs and into his bedroom. His phone was going off with a few texts from his sister which he replied to, and then went to bring his laundry downstairs so he would remember to do it the next day.
While he was in the laundry room sitting the hamper down, he heard Catelyn's voice. "I'll be there in a second!" he called. He walked out of the laundry room and into the kitchen where he saw Catelyn had brought food. "Well I see the gift is food. Food is always a good gift for me." Daniel smirked. That would be a good thing for her to know especially now since she was living with him.

Catelyn smiled and nodded taking Daniel's hint at food, "I will remember that, my brother is the same way." She laughs, remembering last time she was home for Thanksgiving and how many plates he went through it was amazing how their parents where ever able to keep food in the house.
Catelyn reaches for the bags she brought in pulling out the individually wrapped subs, "They are both the same, if you want to get started I am going to run out and start getting my bags out of my car before eating." |

Daniel nodded. "Alright. But do you need any help? Because I can wait to eat and help you get things set up." He really didn't want her to have to haul her stuff in alone, especially if there was a lot of it. That was no way to treat your new house mate. Daniel wanted to help her in any way possible because that was how he'd been brought up. His mother had taught him how to treat a woman and how not to treat her. By not helping her, he would be disappointing his mom.

Smiles thinking,I must have the best house mate shyly nods and replies,"It would be much easier to have help, my poor car is just about over flowing with bags and boxes. Hard to believe all I have is clothes and a few odds and ends." Catelyn turns to lead the way out to her car. Once outside she registers the look of shock crossing his face and shifts uncomfortably, walking over to pop her trunk release and reach for some of the bags.
"I really do appreciate the help, it isnt often I come across such a gentleman,"Catelyn says in hopes of sounding sincere. She really hadn't had anyone that was so willing to help out a person they had just met and it was a rather novel experience. Maybe while we eat I could get to know him better, he definantly is someone worth knowing.
Grabbing her load she turns to head in the house and upstairs, hoping Moxy wouldn't run out or get under foot. She didn't want the poor little dear getting hurt, Moxy was an adorable little puppy and Catelyn was already getting fairly attached. It would surely make things harder if Daniel ever decided that Catelyn wasn't a good match as a house mate any longer but she would just try and not worry about that until the time it ever came around. |

So Daniel followed her outside and started off by grabbing something from her car, not exactly sure what it was. He smiled at her compliment. "Well I was raised to be a gentleman. I'm just doing how I was brought up." Then Daniel followed her upstairs and into her new bedroom, sitting whatever it was he'd grabbed down near the bed. "After we haul everything in we can eat and I can help you unpack later." He really was glad to help her out, not only by letting her move in but with the bags too. He just wondered what his siblings reaction would be when they found out about her.
