Being an insomniac, it was rare to see someone like Andy still sleeping, if that was possible at all. He only need a few hours of sleep to be able to function throughout the day, in between would be several cups of coffee and blasting heavy metal music in his apartment to compensate for sleeping. But though he didn't sleep much, he rarely went outside in the daytime unless it was for his education. He mostly like being outside at night, when the world is a little more quiet and asleep, or even when the teenagers wake up and start to drink, getting more rowdy as the clock struck midnight.
But today was different, he had gotten a job at a coffee shop as a musician, it was little work, all he had to do was show up once in a while, and he did something he enjoyed doing, in fact- he really didn't even have a schedule, when he showed up, he showed up. Maybe if he got lucky, he could come across someone who would give him a record deal too. Though it seemed highly unlikely, he couldn't help but try, it never hurts to give it a shot, right? Or so people said so.
Making his way into the shop, he had managed to tone down his look a little but, wearing only a little bit of eyeliner, dark-wash skinny jeans, and a red plaid shirt. Slung over his shoulder was his guitar case, and he was holding it as if it was his baby. He had gotten it recently by his father, as a going away gift, and he was keen on keeping it in its best condition.
Pushing open the door, he greeted everyone with a nod and a smile before making his way to the back, taking out the acoustics and going out on stage, sitting on the stool that was already set up for him. This was his first time out on the stage for a long time, and he missed the rising feeling of excitement when people heard his music. Like any artist, some people was going to hate, and others was going to take a liking, he just opened that this wasn't tough crowd, he was singing one of his more, simple songs that he had written not long ago.
Looking at the people scattered about, he noted how some people were doing their own thing, and others stared at him expectantly. He looked down and tuned his instrument before he started.

hearing that her best friend had gotten a job playing his music, nevada couldn't help herself but go and watch him play. she knew anthony because they went to school together and hit it off, plus she thought he was rather attractive. so she got ready to go out, teasing her hair; putting on her jewelry; make up; pretty much everything a normal girl did and then some. nevada loved making herself look over the top with her appearance, she was a real head turner.
once she made her way out the door, nevada made her way walking towards the coffee shop; cigarette in between her fingers. she inhaled then slowly let the smoke flow through her nose and flow past her glasses. she always kept her sunglasses on all day, especially at night. it stopped people from asking questions, and once she took them off in a room her false eyelashes and her caked on eye make up made her eyes pop.
when she walked into the shop, she saw him on the small-ish stage and smiled; giving him a small wave. nevada found a seat in front, sitting without getting anything. anthony was more important than coffee at this point.
notes; this sucks, i'm sorrrrrrrry :] outfit; click ; ignore audrey

He had hardly started before the door opened, and on impulse he looked at who it was, faintly surprised to see Nevada here. How did she know? He didn't tell her, he didn't tell anyone. But for some reason, he was glad that she came. Being in a house full of people he didn't know in a small town was nerve-wracking. In Chicago, he didn't have a problem because it was a big city, and usually there was more diversity compared to a place like this. He smiled at her for a moment as she took a seat in front of him. He then turned to his guitar, strummed it for a moment, before he started to play, the lyrics coming out with ease. It was like another place, his world, his words, and mood.
It didn't last long, the song was only about two minutes. And as he finished up the song, and casually hopped off the stage, he heard the applause of the flimsy crowd. Smiling slightly as he replaced the guitar back to where it belonged, he turned to his friend. 'Nevada, where have you been hiding?' he joked. He hadn't seen her around for a whie, and they even went far enough to go to the same collage together. He crossed his arms and leaned against the table casually, giving her a small smirk.
'Like what you hear?' he asked her, seeing that she hadn't brought anything yet- he figure she just came to see him. Small town, everyone is always up in everyone else's buisness.
