This is Neil. He just moved back to Cape May a few months ago, after spending five years in NYC to "go to college". Actually, he dropped out and stayed pretty much the whole time partying and not doing anything useful, until his dad had enough and decided to stop sending him money. That's when he came back. He works now as a bartender at his dad's hotel and he just found out that he has a kid he'd never heard of with his high school sweetheart Scarlet.

He's a really fun guy, he likes surfing, partying, thinks a long relationship lasts a week, isn't really a hard-working kind of guy and is, in general, pathologically incapable of taking anything seriously. He never really grew up since high school and is now scared to death of having to deal with his kid. He needs friends, maybe people he knew back in high school or people he just met. Maybe he could have some enemies from back in the day, too. He's a very laid-back guy, but he can be a jerk, especially to women. As far as lovers go, his love life is a mess. He hasn't really dated anyone for more than a month since high school. Maybe he just needs to meet the right girl... Well, if you have an idea for him, bring it!

definitely mixed feelings between scar and neil methinks. she feels a bit bad about not telling him about micheal, but she knows why she didn't and deep down, she thinks she did the right thing. but at times, she thinks that he can be a right pain in the ass and she kind of wishes that he'd step up to the plate and be a dad.

Things are definitely confuse between them. Part of him still cares a lot about her, he's never been with any other girl for as long as he was with her. Another part of him is mad at her for not telling him about his son, but is honestly angrier because, as much as he won't admit it, he knows why she never told him - he's absolutely not daddy material. And part of him is completely terrified of the idea of being a father and he masks this by pretending not to take it seriously and avoiding it, which probably just annoys her.

i can see them being friends. zac is a pretty mature guy, so maybe he helps he deal with the whole kid thing. i'm not really sure, but i'm game for whatever.

Pretty much. As much as he won't stop sleeping around, he'll still be very jealous of any guys who get close to her.

They could be friends, maybe met at the bar or at the beach (Neil surfs a lot). Considering their age difference, it would probably be difficult for Neil to open up to Zach, they'd probably keep the things light and just hang out.

woohoo. plotting extraveganza back online! and niel = chris pine, which means i have to plot with him :] despite the fact that there's a bit of an age difference... i usually get around due to the fact that eli is pretty mature for his age, and it seems niel is a bit immature for his age. in the past i've always had one older friend of eli's that sorta serves as a bad influence-ish. writing him fake doctor's notes so he can skip school and such. but, as with all my proposed plots, add/subtract/tweak/ignore/trash whatever you please.

They're very close and she loves her twin dearly, but she spends a lot of time trying to get him to grow up a little and worrying about him.

I think Neil probably wouldn't take Eli very seriously, because of the age difference, calling him "kid" and stuff like that. BUT he's close to Viola and since Neil used to date her sister, he's known her since she was a kid. So even though he treats her more like an adult than his own sister, he still likes to look out for her, so maybe he saw them hanging out and then met Eli at a party or something and decided to keep an eye on him

haha. that's legit. he is a kid, after all xD yeah, viola seems to be his window into the lives of a lot of cape may residences. i'd say that's the best bet as far as how they were acquianted with her. cool cool. sounds good to me.

Sounds great, They seem to very alike, so I can see them being friends, especially since she doesn't get along with her sister, that never liked Neil. Oh, and he'd probably hit on her a lot.
